ELECTRET MICROPHONE
EQL BAND leverages electret microphone technology.
This omnidirectional microphone is made up of two conducting plates, and is able to capture sound
waves and translate them into electrical waves.
CARDIO STETHOSCOPE DIAPHRAGM AND BELL
EQL BAND also leverages a cardio stethoscope that isolates the microphone from ambient sound, while amplifying radial artery soundwaves (1-2 Hz) undetectable to the human ear.
By surrounding the electret microphone in a
dome-like structure, we mimicked the design
and function of a stethoscope. The cardio stethoscope’s two primary regions are
called the diaphragm and bell.
EFFORTLESS PAIRING
Once designed, we encased the frame with soundproof material. EQL BAND sound smart technology is placed right inside the smartwatch band to create a seamless user experience, and it can pair with any smartwatch.
